About

Zen Play and Movement LLC was founded in August 2014 by Char Sloan, licensed massage therapist and former Gymboree Play and Music teacher. Her background in health and wellness as well as being a Mother of 5; prompted her to research and teach self-care workshops to school age children on how to effectively deal with stress. Studies show that children can suffer from childhood stress which can cause poor performance in school and health illnesses. She has taught these fun interactive workshops to schools and youth groups throughout Michigan for the past few years with great results. Recently she began to study youth level Tai Chi, an exercise that incoporates a series of slow movements for fitness and health. Tai Chi teaches us how to breathe deeply and relax the mind as we move our bodies, the results are increased focus, concentration and lower stress levels. Everyone can do it! Children with ADHD have shown great benefits from doing Tai Chi. In an effort to bring all things together to benefit the health and wellness of children in a fun way, Zen Play and Movement LLC was born.

"I absolutely love the Zen and Play course for my daughter . Right after the first session she was super excited about it. She loved the exercises and the story time .As a parent I love that she gets a complete workout of both her mind and body and she gets to interact with other children as well."
